WebbOn a power stealing thermostat, they want to grab power from the cooling side of the system as heat-only generally doesn’t have a common wire. If you have a 3-wire thermostat wire and not 4+, you could alternatively hook up the transformer as such. This is a less ideal way, as my experience with Nests aren’t “officially” meant to handle it.
